Who are the organisations represented in the framework project?
The organisations come from education, training and industry. All of the partners were chosen for their individual strengths, in order to approach the challenges of developing the Framework project with professionals in the required areas. The complementary nature of the strengths of the partners is in itself a key characteristic of the project. A broad geographical base to the project was also a prerequisite to add cultural diversity to the team.
The project members are all part of the Businet organisation either as full members (educational organisations) or associate members (business organisations).
Businet is a network of institutes of Higher Education across Europe. The organisation was founded in 1987. There are currently 70 members from across Europe. 18 countries are represented. The organisation is based in Belgium.
The members of Businet are all engaged in delivering business education, in what is defined by the EU, and commentators, as short cycle tertiary education (sub-degree programmes) and professional bachelor programmes (vocational degrees). A period of student work placement is present in most programmes. This reflects the vocational nature of the education that Businet members deliver.
